Performance Lab

These are some simple tools to help you analyze and predict performance.

  • The Pace Tool calculates potential running pace based on power in conjunction with your weight (in lbs) and running effectiveness (RE). The running effectiveness will default to 1.0. Play with the inputs to see how they vary your pace. Note: This calculation is an approximation based on a flat surface and no wind.

  • The Running Effectiveness Tool will calculate your RE. Just enter a workout or race results and it will output your RE. You can use this value in the Potential Pace Tool.

Running Effectiveness (RE) is a ratio that indicates how effective an athlete is converting power to speed. The higher the ratio the more effectively you are converting power to speed. The formula is Meters Per Second / Watts per Kilogram.
